Contest Echo
4X1VF: Nice to meet all the familiar calls again...
5B4/RW3QC: I am very grateful to P3A (especially to RA9JX
and RZ9UA) for this possibility to participate in WAE SSB. Many
thanks to my wife RA3OC for her support and coffee...
7K2PBB: I am 3rd class licence (10 watts) and I am glad to
work EA and I as new countries. Could not work DL!..
8P6SH: Busted my amp a few minutes into the contest and with
a vertical only didn't expect to do too well - amps already
repaired and thanks for the patient ones who stuck with me...
9A2A: My first WAE SSB contest and I am sure that next year
I will participate again.
9A3CY: I could not get my turn on the rig as usual...
CE5GO:For EU, we are just at the end of the world, but
despite that fun for us to be in the contest...
CX9AU: Much QRN on all bands, big static noise on 15 to 80
meters...
DH2DAM: Small equipment but a lot of fun...
DL0AR: Again one of the most beautiful contests together
with excellent conditions - see our pictures on the web:
www.ov-b39.de/contest...
DL0DK: Always a pleasure to take part in this contest - the
QTCs are top...
DL1AQY: As a "little pistol" I worked all the highlights on
80m...
DL1BKT: Where was Africa? Anyway - my 10th WAE - great fun
again...
DL2YET: Pleased to have worked E41 with only 10 watts and 20
meter indoor longwire...
DL3ZBA: If born again I'd like to be a QTC!
DL4HG: Nice contest and good condx..
E41/OK1DTP: Thanks to the EUs for their support with QTCs
and QSYs for multipliers...
ES1ABR: age 13 years...
G3UFY: Much better condx than for CW. New QTC program made
QTC handling easier. Great fun!
HK3JJH: Good conditions, very good organized, tnx...
HP1COO: Found the contest on the air and made it for
fun...
JA0QWO: Tnx for holding the fb contest...
JA1AAT:10m only Russian stations, some DL, OE, OH, HA...
JA2AJ: 20 meters was very poor and no EU coming through most
of the time...
JA9SCB/1: Nice propagation, I enjoyed full time operating
with many EUs...
JG2REJ: The 1st entry!
K0DAT: I am a minister, cannot operate too much on Sunday, I
do enjoy the contest...
K4IU: Great opening to Europe on 10 meters for WAE SSB
greatly improved score...
K5ZD: Weather outside was too nice to be inside on the
radio. Very good conditions on 75m the first night...
KC8HWV: Had a great time in this contest. It was even better
than last year as propagation was great...
KE4OAR:The QTCs added another dimension to contesting...
KF4VMT: After giving my exchange to EA3AR he gave me a
special hello and told me by name that he'd received my QSL the
week before and wished me good luck. That was a very pleasant
surprise...
KS4XG: We lost about 20 QSOs and QTC records when our pc
died. Then we lost our minds trying vainly to recover and
everything we did made the log damage worse...
LA1VKA: Simple equipment, but fun anyway! Good
conditions!
LA2HFA: A lot of noise from VHP (=very high power) EUs. Had
aurora condx in periods...
LU1DZ: We have big rain all weekend long with a lot of QRN.
This is the best contest in the world!
LY2IJ: Nice conditions!
LY2OX: Fun was great due to really good conditions...
N2VW: Good contest - wish I had more time on the air...
N6AW: Much better condx than CW...
OH1F (op OH1NOA): The biggest highlight was to work 150
stateside stations on 40m during the first night!
OM3YK: It is relaxed fun...
PA0KDM: Till the next contest - 77 years young, hi...
PA9RZ: Nice to work stations which usually don't care about
weak signals...
PT2AW: I was able to join the contest only Sunday. The short
time gave me so much joy. Thank you all...
PT2TF: Great contest as always. A pity that we had the
grandchildren at home which left not too much time for this
enjoyable contest...
PY3BAZ: I think a new bunch of South American stations are
getting into it...
SP9BLF: I am 70+ years old and this was my 30th WAEDC in a
row - started in 1971!
SQ4GXO: Worked two new countries in the contest...
T94DX: No chance with 100 watts!
TF3AO:Lot of QSOs giving no points as many EUs still need TF
in their logs...
UU5J: Fantastic conditions in this contest. We have beaten
our own record...
VA3UZ: Sorry to miss 2 mega points mark...
VE3BUC: An opening on 10 for several hours on Sunday also
made significant improvement on my score over last year...
VE4YU: I marvel at how well the European stations accept the
QTCs!
VE5CPU: Very variable conditions from Western Canada...
VK2APK: I had to convince some reluctant operators to take
QTCs which worked well...
VK5GN: Thanks for running the contest. The QTC feature makes
this a very interesting challenge. Great fun to work at least one
station (S50A) on all bands...
W2UDT: 10 meters on Sunday was great!
W4NTI: condx better on CW...
W8FDV: age 64 - mni tnx fb test...
W9CNF/m: Operated with 25 watts to a firestick whip cut to
28.4 MHz...
WB6NFO (W8SMA in 1938): Excellent operators were observed
and it was a pleasure to take part...
WZ8A: It was great having a return to good prppagation from
40m to 10m. On 75m, I could hear the eastern U.S. stations racking
up for EU contacts. But here in Ohio, not one peep from across the
pond was heard on 75...
YC3IZK: Hard work weekend on 15 and 10 meters but enjoyed
working stations from EU...
