4L4WW: Great contest, thank you!
4X0T: HELLO TO ALL TNX FER QSO AND SORRY FER A BAD CONDITIONS CU IN 2008
7N2UQC: I was able to enjoy this contest.Tnx for a fine contest again.
9M6XRO: I operated whenever I had some free time but the bands were not good. I could copy the 'big guns' but I was not able to get a good run going so I ended up just completing the QTC numbers for those big guns!
CT1ENQ: First time in this contest, cannot consider a real effort. Learned the rules during the contest and made a few QSOs. Learned about QTC and to log them on SD. Worked a couple of hours, seemed a nice contest. Band cndx: Some openings to N.&S. America. C U next year. 73
CU2JT: SSB contests are really not my cup of tea. WAEDC, however, is one of the more sympathetic ones with not so much SSB infringing on the CW portion of the 40M band. It was even possible to work Tennesse QSO Party stations on around 7040 KHz. I checked the band for other CU stations but I did not hear any, so I thought I should give old contest friends the CU multiplier.
DE0MBS: Operated with two radios for the first time trying to get some pratice for SO2R as DL8MBS. Trying to listen to two running stations simultaneously can be rewarding and puzzling simultaneously
DF2PH: My shortest contest hi
DJ6TK: Hi friends, sorry, but SSB is not my Mode
DK1GD/P: Something was going wrong during the contest...time to find out who was guilty..HI
DK6XZ: It was great pleasure to work in WAEDC after more than 18 years. Thank you all guys that have answered to my call!
DL1A: first attempt with new crew. We had a lot of fun. see you in next contest
DL1DAW: The WAE is my favourite contest although we experienced the worst condx since my first participation in 1998! However, we had a lot of fun with some artwork next to us and the drunken young fire-fighters after midnight. My special thanks go to Bernd, DO1BMS; Michael, DL5YAD and Herbert, DF7DJ who spent all the nights with me! I look forward to experiencing better condx next year. cuagn and vy 73 es 55 de Achim, DL1DAW
DL1EJA: It was lots of fun to run the contest. Took first time a few QTCs, and starts interesting me more to run this contest more serious. Also caugth a few new DXCC on 80m. All in all it was just great!
DL2AA: A nice contest. Will be back next year. More to come...!
DL4SDW: Had to work on both days and condx were not good. So i only gave away some points.
DL5IC: Trotz Sonnenfleckenminimum konnte man einige Multis arbeiten.
DL6MHW: A short time entry with a lot of fun, especially with QTCs. This contest was the first with the new automatic antenna switch based on the so2r board of DK3GI (tnx). Hope to have a complete so2r setup (with 100 watts) in wae rtty.
DM5WF: a little test for rig@pc-configuration ...
DO2MS: Teilnahme nur auf 15m und 80 m da E-Lizenz
EB2CYQ: My first WAE SSB and only a problem, the QTC's and the offtimes.... Fun
EI4DJB: 15m openings with QSB on Sunday 090907
F4FLQ: Thank you for this super contest, it is my first contest I have had my license radio ham that for 3 months. I'm verry happy cu next best 73's
FY1FL: First participation to the WAE. Only short period of time was available. So not so much QSO. But lot of fun !!!
GM7TUD: first time I have tried to take qtcs so probaly made a few mistakes.
GW4BLE: Less than the full 36 hours; just enough for lower top-ten listing ??
IT9BLB: My first time in WAE contest, not just to pass reports to other contesters: I understood there are some things to learn in confront with other contests .... High bands still too poor, just a nice 20m opening to USA on sunday evening. Lot of nice countries on 40/80, running a simple no-radials HF-2V ground mounted. Broken my "wall in mind" vs QTCs: it's a real fun!
JH3PRR: Desipite the fact that I was suffering from poor coditions, high static noise, and outrageous dragon radar qrm, the result was far beyond my expectation. Thank you for calling and your patience. I enjoyed the contest very much. Hope to see you all and more in 2008.
K4IU: Always a fun contest even when conditions in Minnesota, USA poor. Thanks again to DARC
K4YKZ: A really slow starting WAE contest. Maybe the sun will treat us better next year!
KK1L: Got on to add some US activity to this fine EU contest. The little time I was able to spend was fun!
LX1ER: not so many time for contesting, but hope for next year
LX7I: This year again propagation was not so good but mananged to have some nice runs into NA even on 15m. I missed a lot of important multiplier on 80M as my new antenna was not yet installed. Looking forward to the next WAE.
N1API: Sorry for the poor showing this year! 10 meters never opened, 15 meters only provided a few contacts. It just shows you what happens when your "bread a butter bands" don't provide! I also have an elderly parent that I care for which takes away from operating time.
N6AR: Just absolutely terrible conditions. 15 was a black hole here.
OH2K: Trying to get maximum out of the minimum.
OK2-9329: VERY GOOD CONTEST AS USUALLY. SEE YOU AGAIN FRIENDS IN WAE RTTY.
OK2SWD: VERY GOOD CONTEST. SEE YOU AGAIN FRIENDS.
ON5WL: Nice contest. Condx were weak so not very much qso. But it is always an enjoyable contest. Till next year. 73
OO2T: DIDN 'T HAD MUCH TIME ENJOYED CONTEST BETTER ANTENNAS AND MORE TIME NEXT YEAR ENJOYED SD PROGRAM (post contest logging) Thanks
OZ1DYI/P: Worked with Solar Cells and Solar Batteries - I have no eletricity.
PA0MIR: Pleased to find a busy band and many stations operating till late at night on 14 MHz, but no contacts on 28 MHz is cutting deeply in my score possibilities. Anyway had a ball getting the QTC's in, glitches of the computer sometimes lost a contact or two and necessitated going back to notepad logging and typing in after the contact.
PE2KP: Nice contest for dx working
PJ2F: Nice contest!!! Unfortunately, 10 was dead and 15 was almost dead! See u next year!!!
RW1AC: Like in the last year's competition I did had a choice: work more contacts or receive more QTC's and pay more attention to multipliers. This year's challenge was not to give a chance to ES5TV and OM2VL to beat me with the Q's count and gain as much as possible QTC's. I did manage the first goal but couldn't reach more than 1300 QTC's... Didn't made any JA/VK/ZL multipliers on 21 MHz because of the propagation, but North America gave me some US/VE mults and the Saturday night's propagation to the Carribean also added few mults, even thought the band looked empty. Thanks for the healthy competition from ES5TV, OM2VL, UU4JMG, UU7J. All claimed scores very close to each other and everyone have a chance to be on the top of the score board.
RZ9OW: WAE-DX-Contest is a one of a most my loved competitions. I try not missing it. In 2007 I took part in this contest also. I worked only on 20 meters band, because at night time my small granddaughter sleeps. The propagation was unstable. In Novosibirsk European stations were well heard from 13:00 to 20:00 local time. Very great activity was shown by the German radio stations. My congratulations to organizers this remarkable contest!
SP4AAZ: VERY BAD CONDX ON HIGH BAND'S CU NEXT YEAR
SP9DTE: MY FIRST TIME IN WAEDXC.
SV2KBS: WAE Contest was the perfect excuse for not studying for my university exams! It was tons of fun! Thank you guys! See you next year! 73/88 !!
UA3LHL: TNX FOR THE NICE CONTEST! CU next year.
UA9CDC: Thanks to UA9CLB for allowing me to use his super station in this very interesting contest Thanks to all EU stations who answered my CQ call and to those who helped me get rid off most of the QTC in the end of the contest Thanks also to RG9A and RU9WX for friendly competition Congrats to my club mate UA9BA with his super result using just 100W. Go-Go UCG!
UU1AZ: had little time and a lot of pleasure...73!
VA7ST: Thanks for DARC for the great contest. My first attempt at WAEDC SSB, and it was a lot of fun even without a lot of QSOs, hi.
VE3NCQ: Great contest! This was my first WAE attempt - more of a casual entry. Worked some good signals even with poor propagation into Canada. Bands were not too busy (when they were open), and didn't hear many big pileups. Managed to get 3 new counties in the log. Heard lots of German stations, but didn't come close to Working All Europe. I'll try this one again next year. 73, Austin VE3NCQ
VE3SY: Very slow start with 40 and 80 dying Sat about 07:30Z. Then with no 15 path, Saturday was a one band operation with the Mult station grabbing only a few Mults. Sunday saw a brief 15M opening and a chance to grab some new Mults and made us all wish that we would have had the 5 el 15m Telrex in place rather that the little 3 element Hygain. All in all a fun time with many thanks to the guest ops - Chris DK9TN from the Bavarian Contest Club as well as Yuri VE3DZ and Nick VE3EY from CCO. And a special thank you to Nick for bring his MK V to replace my multiplier MP station that died on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who took our QTCs which seems to be more and more of a challenge each year. 73 Paul VE3SY for DK9TN, VE3DZ and VE3EY
VE6AO: We also gave some QTC's but could not figure out how to get the logging program to record them properly.
VO1001SWL: Enjoyed the contest for the second time
W4NTI: Somewhat handicapped with just my TS-530s. Only Hi band open was 20. Happy with new 40m privledges for Europe!
W6FA: Conditions were not very good, but I worked pretty much everything I could hear.
WB0YJT: This was a tuff one. Conditions were very poor at times we can look forward to better conditions in the future but we had fun. 73's John
WB2ATZ: Thanks to the DARC for a great contest. Looking forward to participating again next year.
YB1TJ: my first WAE Contest
YL2BJ: Tnx fer QSO!
YL2PP: TNX FOR CONTEST SORRY BAD CON'DX CU NEXT YEAR ! 73 ! de Tom
YO8BDW: TRY SD !! It is for experts - dummies like me !!! Hi !
YO9HP: Poor 80 m antennas, poor propagation on most bands, but WAE remains a nice contest. See you in WAE RTTY! 73, Alex
YU1EQ: all the best
ZC4LI: I had my usual software problems with the Qtc's so I had to note them down on paper and type them in after the contest. They are probably out of sequence, so if you have any problems ditch the whole log. 73 Steve.
