Zweiter Contest vom neuen Fielday-QTH - Wetter ufb - neue Technik hat bestens funktioniert - Super Duper hat hervorragend geloggt - Verpflegung bestens - Gaeste einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft sorgten fuer Abwechslung - vor dem Regen alles trocken eingepackt - cu next year

Nicht so gute CONDX auf 10 und 15 wie 2007 Aber ok, hat wieder Spass gemacht.

Wir wollten weniger Aufbaustress und haben uns diesmal für die non-assisted Klasse entschieden. Und richtig, der Aufbau von Ulis Eigenentwicklung (2 x 40m Dipol) über Antennenkoppler gespeist, erwies sich als schnell aufgebaut und im Betrieb erstaunlich leistungsfähig! Also, vor dem Contest noch genügend Zeit sich mit dem Logbuchprogramm zu üben und für Bier und Würstchen bei (noch) herrlichem Sonnenschein. Doch 2 h nach Contestbeginn überraschten uns heftigste Gewitter und wolkenbruchartige Regenschauer. Die Antenne hat nun wirklich gefunkt, so dass der Betrieb für 1,5h eingestellt werden musste. Sonntags haben wir und einige Gäste Hartmuts exquisit gegrillte Leckereien geniessen dürfen. Das Ergebnis war besser als im Vorjahr und nicht auszudenken, wenn wir nicht hätten unterbrechen müssen! Vielen Dank für den Spaß den wir miteinander hatten an Uli, Sebastian, Michael, Hartmut, Herbert und unsere Besucher!

Der CW-Fieldday ist jedes Jahr ein Highlight. Wetter großteils durchwachsen.

Unser erster QRP-Kontest, das wird unsere neue Lieblingsklasse!!!!!

Schlechter Start mit starken Gewittern, abgerissener Antenne und auch noch OP Ausfall. Ganz gute Bedingungen, aber relativ wenig Angebot. Offensichtlich waren sehr viele vor der Glotze wegen EM Eröffnungsspiel. Am Sonntagmorgen wurden wir dann auch noch vom Platzeigentümer mit rund 350 Mann eingenommen, so dass wir kampflos das Feld räumen und abbrechen mussten. Wenigstens waren wir kurzzeitig Deutschlands bewachtester Fielddayplatz.

Große Probleme mit der Matchbox - offensichtlich hat sie beim Mastabsturz vom letzten Jahr doch mehr Schaden genommen, als vermutet - verursachten rund 2 Stunden Ausfallzeit und dann ging es auch nur mit 30W auf 160m und teilweise 6 S-Stufen Empfindlichkeitsverlust auf 20m. Statt des bei DK0V/p geplanten Staffellaufs wurde es ein Hindernislauf! Insofern große Freude, dass wir es doch noch auf knapp 1.000 QSOs gebracht haben - unser zweitbestes FD-CW-Ergebnis bisher.

Sonne pur, Antenne Ultra-Light Dipole 240 Ohm TV-Kabel und 4:1 Balun, sternenklare Nacht, nur 10 Liter Benzin verbraucht, See u next FD!

Bei tollem Wetter und guter Verpflegung hat es allen OMs, die mitgemacht haben, viel Spaß gemacht. Da konnte man es auch verschmerzen, das unsere Antenne auf 10Mtr. nicht lief.

Hat wieder viel Spass gemacht und das Wetter war größtenteils sehr gut!

Im Sommer macht das Spaß, trotz Unterbrechungen wegen Gewitter. Leider waren keine guten DX-Bedingungen weil die Sonne immer noch pausiert. Peter

Alle Rufzeichen wurden vom CW Skimmer gehört. Minimale Betreibszeit und trotzdem etliche QSOs. Wie mit Packet-Cluster aber der mehrfachen Menge an Spots.

Hitzeschlacht bei über 30`C, insgesamt Ergebnis verbessert, 12 Multis mehr dank Richtantennen, dafür einige QSO weniger. Geloggt mit UCX-LOG 6.24 - Riesen Event! Bis zum September! vy 73 aus Bernau Y14

Durch unerwartete Antennenprobleme auf 80m und Unterbrechungen durch Gewitter und Sturmböen hielt sich der "Funkstress" für die OPs in Grenzen, hi. Trotzdem immer wieder schön! 73, DK8RE & DM5WF

RIG FT1000, Antennas TH7 at 20m, 160m and 40m Dipole at 20m, 80m Dipole at 19m, 40m Dipole at 10m Pity so few stations now enter Open section, does not need a huge team - only 4 of us! Great condx on 160 & 80, no QRN for once. 10m not as good as last 2 years but still productive THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF MY FIRST EXPERIENCE OF FIELD DAY! ELECRAFT K3 AT 100W TO 264 FOOT DOUBLET THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE, BUT TIRING CONTEST. ENDED UP BEING A SINGLE OPERATOR EFFORT BY G4RCD THOUGH THERE WERE MANY HELPERS IN BUILDING AND TAKING DOWN THE STATIOIN AS WELL AS TEA MAKING ETC. HOPE WE GET MORE FOLK UP TO SPEED TO OPERATE NEXT YEAR. ESPECIALLY ENJOYED USING THE ELECRAFT K3.

G4FNL/P:
We changed our strategy this year. It worked initially, but our rivals obviously improved their techniques too. The teams that were farther north in the UK seemed to fair better. It was good fun and great WX, but the conditions were pretty awful!

G4GZ/P:
Intended to enter the restricted section using the Doublet but had a change of mind and put the vertical up as well. Ejoyable contest, steady rate throughout. 28MHz poor from 53.5N. More southerly stations fared better. Made a change to dismantle the station in the sunshine.

G5XV/P:
FT2000 100w rig, 60ft mobile tower, Force 12 beam, caravan, 40/80m, 160m dipoles, 3kw petrol generator. NFD this year was murphy free! 160m was a dream to operate on. E's on 10m band was open most of the weekend. WX was sunny, hot, no thunderstorms like other years. BBQ and camp fire on Friday night, Sunday we had Breakfast of black pudding, eggs, bacon, fried bread, beans,mushrooms, etc. Lovely. In 2009, due to the number of CW op's we have, we may possibly run with 2 NFD stations! Ken..G0ORH

100W from a FT1000MP (100W version) to 80M doublet. QTH on the edge of the Bristol Channel near Newport in South Wales Great weather and great fun!

Handnotierung, Multiplierkontrolle von Hand Kein DX-Cluster Konnte wieder mal /p arbeiten, bei USKA angemeldet. Bedingungen waren annehmbar, auf 10/15 m gut für EU. wx annehmbar, Pause von 1825 bis 0530, ich war ja auch müde!

M0EEE/P:
Tougher going this year than last. Conditions on 20m and 40m hard work with QRP and dipole. WX was good. Great support from club members with set-up and tear-down. As usual, enjoyable but tiring weekend. See you all next year :-)

M0IRN/P:
First outing for this newly formed team. Getting to grips with new equipment resulted in a few problems but hopefully these will be ironed out for next year. Fine weather and good company made up for all the operational issues and a fun weekend was had by all.

Leuk ook met de clubcall aktief te zijn maar helaas was de reden dat onze velddag door wangedrag van een vorige groep gebruikers niet door kon gaan op het laatste moment. Ik draag deze bijdrage op aan PA0OI die helaas net afgelopen week is overleden.

RK3EXA/P:
We participated in the FD second time and tried hard to reach the good result. Many thanks to all FD stations, who make this contest really impressive!

A hell of a weather! Thunderstorm after thunderstorm! The first one came just at the start of the contest. Then before night another one, so I was off by night. Then on Sunday, I had to stop 7 hours before ending. I was all wet and tired of carying equipement here and there. I was using FT-450, powered with 1000W Honda generator and home made Rybakov 806 Multiband antenna, wich performed unexpectedly nice. N1MM Logger on my Dell Notebook performed well. It was very vivacious contest! Hope to see you next year!

RIG - FT-817 (5W), ANT TH3MkIII, low band dipoles We get bored with constantly high scores in 100W class for past several years and decided to try something new, namely, participating in QRP class instead. Heavy rain which flooded our tent and huge lightnings in the vicinity of our site postponed our start - we switched everything off and fired barbecue instead. After all, we aren't score addicted but our main goal is rather to gather together socialising, enjoying ourselves and to have some fun making contacts. Family members (Anka, S57ONE with sons Viktor and Aleksander, Dolores with harmonics Lana and Luka, S59AV' daughters Angela and Julija, S53AU's son Martin and Boris' children Rok and Maja) brought additional pleasure and made us feeling a big ham family indeed. Sunday afternoon another thunderstorm approached so we dismantled our tent (in order not to get wet again) and continued till the end of contest without any shelter.
