DD1IM: Hallo, liebe CW-Freunde und Hut ab vor allen, die keine Mühen gescheut haben, um unter freiem Himmel funken zu können. Meine (kleinen) Antennen stehen zwar auch draußen, aber ich sitze drinnen - na ja, solche darf es ja auch geben (= Teilnehmerklasse F), hi. Leider hatte ich wieder viel zu wenig Zeit und dazu etliche unerwünschte Unterbrechungen, weil die USB-Router-Software für die CAT-Anbindung heftig spann und der Rechner ewig für die immer wieder nötigen Neustarts brauchte (grummel). DD5D/P: Neuer Fielday-Standort - Wetter ufb - Technik hat gespielt - Super Duper hat hervorragend geloggt - am Samstag sorgten viele Besucher und Gäste einer Hochzeitsgesellschaft für Abwechslung

DF0SX/P: Super Bedingungen auf 10m und 15m am Samstag. Das war Schlüssel zur 1000-QSO-Marke. Regen diesmal in erträglichem Umfang.

DF0VK/P: Gutes FD WX und CONDX in O47. Der Aufbau ging wieder bis kurz vor Start, in letzter Minute musste noch gelötet werden (Unachtsamkeit von DL1DAW)! Dank an Peter und seiner Begleitung für die Stippvisite aus Hamburg. Trotz einer unangenehmen Überraschung in der Nacht hat es wieder viel Spaß bereitet. An dieser Stelle möchte ich unserem OVV Herbert, DF7DJ für seinen langjährigen unermüdlichen Einsatz bei den Contesten recht herzlich danken und ihm alles Gute wünschen! Das Contestteam des OV O47!

DK0OH/P: Danke für die Ausrichtung und Auswertung. best 73/55 Otto DJ3TY

DK0SC/P: Danke an alle OP's für QRS. Somit konnten die CW Neulinge von B13 ohne großen Stress auch gut Betrieb machen.

DK0V/P: Technisch/organisatorisch ein nahezu problemloser FD! Hart waren die letzten 3 Stunden: Da waren bei uns nur 20 und 40 einigermaßen offen und dementsprechend fehlte frisches Blut, d.h. Stationsangebot. Sehr schön war die Öffnung auf 10m zu Beginn des Contests, nachdem noch wenige Stunden vorher nix auf 10m zu hören war. Und sehr schön war auch eine kleine Serie von USA- Stationen auf 40m, die auf unsere CQ- Rufe herein kam. Hoffentlich haben wir unser Ziel erreicht, in der restricted class unter die ersten 10 zu kommen.. Noch zwei positive Eindrücke: (1) Das Wetter war optimal: Max. 5 Regentropfen beim Antennenaufbau am Freitag Abend; in der Nacht zum Samstag schüttete es dann aus Kübeln; sehr angenehmes Wetter am Samstag und Sonntag: Kein Gewitter, kein Regen beim Abbau. (2) Andy, DK4WA, tauchte gegen Contestende in sehr charmanter Begleitung zur Kontrolle unserer Station auf. Sehr freundlich/professionell (der Andy); schade, dass keine Zeit zu einem Ratsch war.

DK2A/P: Bedingungen nicht so berauschend wie letztes Jahr. War anstrengend, hat aber wieder viel Spaß gemacht.

DK5DQ/P: Starker CWler-Mangel in unserem OV. Also habe ich den FD-Contest alleine bestritten. Die QRV-Zeit wurde stark eingeschränkt: Am frühen Morgen siegte die Müdigkeit über mich, etwa Sonntagmittag meinte der Bauer, das Heu, auf dem ich saß, wenden zu müssen.

DL0AT/P: Für drei der vier OP's der erste CW Contest überhaupt war es eine große Herausforderung mit deren Ergebnis wir sehr zufrieden sind. Sa. gab es schöne Öffnungen auf 10m und unser 'frisch' gebautes Doublet in nur 6-7m Höhe quer durch Büsche und Bäume schienen auch sehr gut zu spielen, konnten wir fast alle Stationen im ersten Anruf loggen. Unser ganz besonderer Dank gilt allen, die uns mit dem Tempo entgegen kamen - leider scheint das absolut nicht mehr selbstverständlich zu sein :-( Uns hat es jedenfalls einen Riesen Spaß gemacht und wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

DL0DX/P: Endlich mal ein CW Fieldday ohne Regen.

DL0HN/P: Hat Spaß gemacht! Gute Bedingungen auf 10 mtr

DL2YCA/P: Heuschnupfen machte bis auf 20 QSO`s eine Teilnahme am Samstag fast unmöglich.

DL3VTA/P: War wieder ein Klasse-Contest. Die Frühstücksversorgung von Wolfgang, DL1DRE, am Sonntag war besonders gelungen.

DL5ASE/P: Hab dieses Jahr das erste Mal als Single-OP teilgenommen. War doch recht Interessant was unter FD- Bedingungen mit 5 Watt alles zu erreichen war. Gleich nach Contestbeginn war ein Öffnung auf den höheren Bändern. Da wurden erst mal die nötigen QSO's auf 10 und 15m gefahren. Das war auch gut so , denn am nächsten Tag ging 15 nur nochmals kurz am Vormittag und 10 war gar nix mehr zu machen. Aufbau und Abbau der Antennen ging dieses Jahr ohne den obligatorischen Regen vonstatten. Alles in Allem hat es Spaß gemacht und ich bin ganz zufrieden mit der Ausbeute. 73 und Awdh auf den Bändern de Mar DL5ASE

DL5KUD: Feldtag aus der guten Stube mit IC728 100 Watt und Dipol up 10m. Schönes 15 und 10 m Band am Samstag und viel QRN wie immer = 73 Jo .

DM3B/P: Nach sehr gutem Start bei diesmal brauchbaren Wetterverhältnissen konnte in der zweiten Contesthälfte ein Absinken nicht verhindert werden. Neue Funkbude bietet ideale Arbeitsbedingungen!

DM3W/P: Diesmal ohne technische Ausfälle, dafür war CQ-rufen fast aussichtslos Es musste viel angerufen werden. Unser 1000 QSO-Ziel haben wir dadurch nicht geschafft. Wir hoffen auf bessere Condx im FD-SSB !

DM7P/P: Toller Start bei prima WX und guten CONDX am Sonnabend. Ein Fieldday ohne Regen, ohne Defekt-Hexe.... Leider waren die CONDX am Sonntag viel schlechter. Trotzdem: erneute Punkte-Steigerung und OV-Rekord!

DP5T/P: Wieder gute Sporadic-E-Öffnung am Samstag, am Sonntag leider nicht mehr so gut.

DP9A/P: Leider ist bei uns für 1,5 h das Aggregat ausgefallen - hat dennoch Spaß gemacht.

DR0V/P: Kurzfristige FD-Hockfete des OV P09. CW-OP: DF4TD und DL5GAC. Ausrüstung: TS-850 mit 100 Watt und Smartuner SG 230 und 11m Draht-GP am 12m Fiberglasmasten. Log wird als Check-Log eingereicht. Betriebszeit etwa 4 3/4 Std.

G0MTN: Not able to go /P this year, so here is a small fixed station log.

G0WAT/P: Usual NFD entry with Stevenage club cancelled and couldn't find anyone else to go out with at short notice so decided to go QRP from home and be the person to prop up the bottom of the table. Using KX1 with 3 watts (with a tailwind) to an awful antenna was hard work at times...paper logging/duping reminded me why I prefer PC logging but a needed to stay within the rules as I had no way of powering the laptop and still stay within the /P strictures. KX1 only does 20/30/40 so it was a two band entry for me... good fun but missed doing the real thing. Hopefully better from me next year 73 Paul G0WAT

G3GHN/P: Conditions didn't seem to be so good on the HF bands this year, but we did better on LF than last year leaving us overall with 60 fewer QSOs than 2006. The lack of operators really hit us where it hurt, with only two able to read CW at 25WPM the rest of the club sat in the sunshine and manfully erected and dismantled for us. However tiredness kicked in on Sunday and the Saturday's rate couldn't be maintained. By the end of the contest a couple of the rag chewing standard CW ops were on the key as a training exercise which in itself was good. All the equipment ran well, the gas powered generator is in its 10th year now. IC756Pro, inverted V at 10m high.

G3TBK/P: Good to find 10m open again, got us off to a good start FT1000D, TH7 at 60ft, Dipoles for LF Bands at maximum height Despite forecasts of rain we had sunshine and clear skies throughout, but cold in small hours.

G3TCR/P: Had a great time. Plenty of help to set up and break down the station but actual operating was a single operator effort (G4RCD). Hopefully more will have been inspired to operate next year. Fell asleep at the radio then decided to sleep-losing an hour and a half. Biggest problem was the trouble tuning the aerial on 160m.

G3ULT/P: The weather was great. Problems with the generator again. I had to go home and get the spair as we had S9 of QRN on 160m. Great fun see you next year. I think it is going to be close this year.

G4BRA/P: Yet another entry from the Bracknell battery powered station, to show how easy it is to put on a station in the low power section. Station assembly and disassembly took just one hour. Conditions mixed, good sporadic E on 10m and the usual stuff on 160m and 40m, but hf conditions pretty poor after an x-ray flare earlier in the day. And we are down to two operators now, though hopefully with morse classes going on we may have more by next year. 73 Dave G3YMC Operating hours 1515-0315z (back home at 5.30am local!).

G4FNL/P: Rig: FT1000MP Antenna: 266' centre fed NICE TO HEAR 10M OPEN. WE TRIED A NEW QTH THIS YEAR BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE DIDN'T CHECK THE LOCAL QRM NOISE LEVEL BEFOREHAND! CONSEQUENTLY, WE MISSED OUT ON A NUMBER OF WEAK STATIONS ON 10M. WITH JUST TWO OPS, SETTING UP AND DOING ALL THE OPERATING, IT'S A BIT DIFFICULT TO KEEP UP WITH THE COMPETITION. THANKS TO ALL FOR THE QSOs.

G4FUH/P: Weather great but sadly not much Sporadic E Had a few 'Funnies' on 20M at times it sent a string of P's at the end of a call sign. The home brew Auto ATU built by Les G4OGB from a design in Radcom worked

G5XV/P: We learnt by last years mistakes and got the LF antenna sorted. Apart from a few PC Gremlins + electric fence noise an excellent event. G6YB/P: Couldn't use our normal site in Bath due to horse racing, but I guess that's what a race course is for ! The reserve site didn't quite have the edge (quite literally) and we struggled more than usual on the HF bands. Nice 10m opening on Saturday... pity there was no repeat on Sunday.

G7EAR/P: Had fun this year at our new QTH up in the hills near Alton, Hampshire. We were located dangerously close to a beer festival and a brewery; weaker people would have given in and opted for the booze, however we knucked down and ended up with a not unreasonable score in the circumstances. We had to change the radio (Orion) 15 minutes before the contest due to software instability and we missed nearly an hour of operating on Sunday morning to perform a 3-minute modification to the antenna (thanks Nigel/G0VDZ!). Win-Test worked well but we couldn't figure out a couple of config issues. Highlights were Kevin/G4BUW's BBQ on Saturday evening, Geoff/G3JUL's motivation and support, an antenna inspection by a pheasant and getting a bit more sleep this year since we had four ops. Radio: FT2000, 100 watts, 2 x Win-Test networked, 264ft doublet fed with ribbon + auto ATU. Thanks for the organisers and adjudicators for their efforts.

GM3JKS/P: 10m band only opened partially to us. It was frustrating to hear stations further south working EU stations on the band which we could not hear. Very little on 10m or 15m on Sunday. Band condx up and down.

GW0AAA/P: Once again we continued our NFD tradition of travelling around the UK for NFD. We returned to Wales but this time avoided the hilltops in favour of the seaside. FT1000MP (100W version) + 270 ft doublet up at 10 M. with open wire feeder and auto-tuner. As ever Field Day was great fun, the only negative was a really high noise level on 160M.

GW4TTA/P Last minute entry. Enjoyed contest except for discourteous M3 stn (on 20m) who could not be bothered repeating 'exchange' under poor conditions.

HB9QA: Erste 13 QSO's Handnotierung, Rest online in Computer. Kein DX-Cluster Konnte wieder nicht /p arbeiten, Sonntag Familienbesuch Bedingungen waren annehmbar, auf 10/15 m gut für EU.

M5MDX/P: Again thoroughly enjoyed the contest in excellent weather. New site and using new equipment that worked well for us., Looking forward to next year!

PA0MIR: Es war nett, mal wieder so viele Stationen zu hören. Gute Aktivität also und awdh nächstes Mal.
